When snowboarders talk about tricks, what does 'cab' mean as in a cab 3 or cab 5?

I know that a 3 is a 360 and a 5 is a 540 and so on, but what does cab mean?

  1. when you cab it it means that you come switch and you turn the shoulder hard


  2. Cab specifically refers to switch frontside.

    And yes, 3, 5, 7, 9, etc.  is a 360, 540, 720, 900, etc. respectively.

    (In case you don't already know it, switch means riding with the opposite foot forward -or downhill- than you normally would ride.)

  4. Caballerial, Full Cab or Cab, is an aerial skateboarding or snowboarding trick. It is another name for a Fakie backside 360 Ollie. The Caballerial was named after Steve Caballero, who invented the trick in the early 1980s. The trick was originally performed on vert ramps or pools but has since been adapted to flatground. Cab tricks spin backside.

  5. you go into the jump switch and you jump off the front end of the board so its pretty much a nollie and you either do a 360 or 540 degree spin
