When someone asks you why you're vegetarian, how do you answer them in one simple, convincing sentence?

Just give me a single sentence that sums up why you're vegetarian when trying to explain to others.

  2. I dont think there is a difference between eating that hamburger and eating my dog which i would never do.

  4. I assume everbody nows the scoop on the veggie diet so I just say....after all these years meat is disgusting to me I wouldn't eat it if you beat me up with a stick. I say this because people need to know that it's not only possible to go veggie, but it's preferable after the addiction is surmounted.  

  5. I just say that I'm not comfortable with the mass meat industry... and that I don't even like the stuff anymore.

  6. I would just say that I don't agree with the way that animals are raised "these days" so that I can draw attention the fact that Old McDonald is pretty much dead and gone.

    I'm a vegetarian because i don't feel right about eating meat.

  21. My collegue is a vegetarian and I asked her the same question and she said:

    "I'm a vegetarian because I've seen the unethical things that they do to those animals which is why I made that choice."

    People can usually wrap their heads around that concept, and they don't want to pry into what kind of stomach issues I suffered from for the first 24 years of my life. :P
