  1. The post office?  You can ask them to package it for you.  It costs a little more.  I suggest boxing yourself with plenty of tape and padding.  It will save you money from not purchasing the box from the Post Office.


  2. Yes, they should do.

    But its best to buy added compensation, as this means you can make a claim for any damage.

    If you are in the UK, this means Special delivery.

    Also NEVER write "Fragile" on a box.. thats just asking for it to be broken. I was told by an ex-postal worker, that if yo write "fragile" on a box, some people deliberately throw it about and try to break it.

  3. No, you must have it packaged and have the proper address and insurance forms attached. The Post Office will only assist you with the actual postage calculation and mailing, not the packaging.

  4. They will sell you a box unless its too big they'll just wrap it for you. At least thats how it goes here. You'll need to bring money with you though. Its not free.
