  1. If the seller seems like she badly needs money, esp. if the seller is a bit timid. I don't like sellers who talk too much.

  2. Be polite and professional.  Be courteous and kind.  Calling them the lady or the man of the house is most appropriate.  The more poilite and professional, the more sales I guarantee you will generate.

Your kindness and politeness and professionalism will sell the product itself...plus is is a very needed product.  Do a good job and world of mouth will get around and maybe you'll have a successful business!!!  Good luck!!

    Peace & Love  :)

  3. sir/mam is good- you want to be professional and respectful.  Maybe show pictures of your past work?  And I would say add a twist- are you very artistic?  A lot of folks may want something unique- that makes it fun.  Since it's not really a needed service you've gotta make it fun.

  4. Typically, if it is a kid, I will buy almost anything.  Assuming you are NOT a kid, I would be more likely to say yes to you if you were reasonably clean and did NOT give me some song and dance or scripted selling speech.  Don't LIE to me about WHY you are going door to door, no long winded stories about "trying to feed hungry kids" or "trying to earn enough money to go to college."  Just the facts and just the truth.

I am never offended when I am called Mam.  The person does NOT know my name.  I would expect to be referred to as Mam.

  5. a great price..a great price for something i dont need usually works
