  1. Im not sure your automatically entitled to it, when i divorced i could of went for half my husbands pension but i didnt want it...

  2. My new husband had to give his ex-wife, who NEVER worked a day in her life......half of his pension around 74,000.00 including a $3000.00 lifetime monthly alimony.  It's sickening.

  3. in divorces; yes

  4. It depends...get a good lawyer to work on it.

  5. Depends on the state you live in, I think. My parents divorced in '93 and my mom is entitled to half of his retirement. He retires next year. It was part of their divorce decree and the judge signed off on it.

  6. only if they were married to you for 10 or plus years. even if you re-marry your new husband will have to split your pension with your ex husband.
