When someone is in jail and they get their release papers how long does it take them to actually get out?

My sister in laws finacee got his release papers two days ago and he still has not gotten out, and I was wondering how long is should take.

Jail or prison???  In jail, that person should already have a set release date.  he can kite the records office and ask what his scheduled release date it.  In prison, you are granted parole, usually, you get parole papers 3-6 months prior to release.  That is usually, there are a lot of different situations, but if it is normal parole, 3-6 months.


  2. The jail wants to get them out in 2 days max.  They have a lot of people waiting to take their place.

  3. I've heard it could take up to a month.
