what exactly does that mean? A real (wo)man as opposed to what? Isn't our gender connected to our biological equipment?

  1. Its about the other person trying to persuade you to do something.  The statement implies that if you don't do whatever the person says, you're less of a woman than everyone else.

    Pure, unadulturated bull$#!^.

  2. For your last statement yes, it is. I suppose they decide who we are because of what society deems us to be. Ie-pink for girls, blue for boys, etc. etc.

  3. Exactly - a real woman is... just a woman!  No real, or unreal about it :-)

  4. It means they don't approve of whatever you're doing, and can't get their point across without resorting to emotional bullying.

  5. They're just giving their entirely subjective opinion of what manhood/womanhood entails.

  6. That means they are insulting the behavior that is not doing it their way.

  7. there are two camps.  some believe gender is s*x, but others believe it is defined by your role in society.  as for what's real i have no idea what they mean...
