  1. It has multiplied by that number of times.

  2. it has doubled tripled so on and so forth

  3. Two fold basically means multiplied by two.

It can refer to all numerical statistics (including monetary one's).

A good example of this is if there was a group of 15 people but suddenly 60 people joined them (making 75 people) then the number of people has increased five fold.

  4. reporters use it also.  something that increased 3x went up 300% (50 x 3 = 150, or 3x the original number)

  5. it means multiply  original amount by the fold number ,2 ,5 ,10 its used in many aspects  not only money or profits

  6. "Fold" just means multiplication.

"Two fold" = multiplied by 2 times

"Five fold" = multiplied by 5 times

"Ten fold" = multiplied by 10 times

  7. It means you have multiplied that amount 2 times over, or 5 times over or ten times over.  Whatever the 'fold' is ;)  So if you lend me a dime and I say I will pay you back tenfold, I would give you a dollar.

  8. Just replace the word "fold" with "times" in your mind.

Two fold = two times = 100 to 200, 400 to 800, etc. etc. etc.

It's not only used for money.
