  1. its the country code the + is same as  00

  2. its just international dialing code, eradicate it. swap it for a 0

  3. Its a European dialing code, the '+' is actually 00. When calling the U.K. from Cyprus, we have to dial 0044, then miss off the first 0 of the telephone number.

  4. I think it could be an international call from the UK. My cell phone shows this when a friend of mine calls from a cell phone registered in the UK.

  5. Thats so you can phone from abroad. +44 or 0044 is the international code for the UK. To phone the number from the Uk on a landline phone, leave out the +44 and add a 0. ie +44 151 345 6677.

    dial 0151 345 6677.

  6. all mobile send their international number as default.

    +44 7123 123456

means its a UK mobile  to call it within the UK you CAN dial 07123 123456  but to call it outside the UK you have to replace the + with the international prefix of your country 011 in the US , 00 in most of europe.
