When someone sends me a list of people i might know on facebook where do i go to check it out?

Do you mean that someone "suggested you add a friend" on Facebook? Those are "Friend suggestions" and you can find those on the upper right hand corner of your home page right after you log-in. It should be in that box where you can also find your friend requests, app requests, and notifications.
