  1. u take things apart too much no offense but usually when i say some1 looks nice i dont mean anything bad by it

  2. lol, that's true, never thought of it that way... haha

  3. Yes! LOL Atleast I used to. Now I just say, "Thanks!"

  4. think of it as simply:

I look even better today than usual! Nice!

  5. Well, I'm always aware of how I look--- I don't always look my best, just plain and regular ol' me. BUt when I do look nice and people notice, it makes me feel good and want to do it over again the next time.

  6. how about just enjoying the compliment and stop beating up on yourself?  the nice thing about not gussying up every day is that people notice it more when you do go to the trouble.

  7. I do think that...LOL!

But I think the person saying it doesn't mean it that way.  Maybe they like the particular color or style you're wearing or something and that's why they said it.  because I tell people that too, but it doesn't mean they looked bad the other days; it's just that something caught my eye that I liked.

  8. yes it sooo bugs me to death especially when u go through a weight loss and their like "You look awesome now".........i hate it soo much but......the i just forget it cause im sure they mean well....hopefully...

  9. I usually respond with 'I look nice everyday' in a sarcastic, semi-offended tone.

  10. yea lol. it makes me feel like i look bad when i dress or do my hair or makeup differently on the other days

  11. No. Maybe it's just your outfit that they really like that day. It's really not a big deal. Anyone who thinks like this, will end up a neurotic, paranoid mess!

  12. Yeah!  Especially when they seem surprised!  But we're probably just being paranoid.

  13. It probably isn't even about you. It just means that the complimenting person is in a good mood that day, and noticing things that they don't usually notice, such as how nice you look.

  14. Yes, it passes through my mind but that's all.  I know I sometimes do look like dead meat, sometimes I don't care what I look like.  I just thank them for the compliment because I don't like it when I compliment someone and they come back with "oh, this old rag!" or they begin to put themselves down or get into "well, I don't feel like I look good today..."  It's a compliment, accept it graciously and move on.

  15. Honestly, I don't even think about it that way ... I guess it's because when I say that to people I don't mean that they didn't look "nice" other days ... they just did something special like a change in makeup or a new hair cut or something.
