  1. It means Eastern Standard Time, that's the time on the East coast of Australia, you will have to adjust that to your own States time.

  2. Well, HORSE-LOVER, that's the time in the United States' Eastern Time Zone under Standard Time. In other words, that's the time in cities such as Boston, Washington, Jacksonville, Grand Rapids, Indianapolis, Wilmington, etc. And Standard Time differs from Daylight Savings Time, when the clocks in most U.S. states advance one hour from, I think, late March to October. Since you're in Western Australia, your time is almost a day ahead of the U.S.

Wait a minute. I'm taking a 2nd look @ the question. Is there a different EST for Australia? Because when I saw that the coverage for, um, "something" would start around noon, I'm not quite sure if that would apply to U.S. coverage. I ain't sure what time NBC begins its afternoon coverage of the Olympics.

  3. It means Eastern Standard Time, being the time for Victoria / NSW / QLD (not eastern daylight savings time which is specified as EDST).   If it was on at 12:03pm EST, Perth time would be 3 hours earlier, being 9:03pm.

Good luck and I hope you don't miss any events!

  4. "EST" is short for "eastern Standard Times" So... it's for Sydney and Brisbane etc. Not sure about how many how to put forward or back though...

  5. eastern standard time....if your in perth then your 2 hours behind us in melbourne so you gotta add 2 hours to perth time to know eastern standard time so if an event is on at say 6.00pm est then it will be 4.00pm in perth so 4.00pm is when it will be shown in perth.
