When sould i take my kittens to the vet

my cat just had3 kittens this morning and i was wondering when i should take them to the vet to get checked out ??

You should get them checked at  6 weeks old. Including Vaccinations.

For their first vaccinations, when they're about 8 weeks old. You need to ring your vet to find out when they give first vaccinations as everyone's protocols vary slightly depending on which vaccine they use. You may want to take them before this time to have them sexed, or if you're worried they're not healthy.

Obviously you need to take the kittens if you're worried about them before this time i.e. if they're not suckling or seem ill at all.

Kittens need worming regularly by the way, like every 2 weeks until 12 weeks old then monthly until 6 months old, particularly if you didn't worm the mother while she was pregnant as they will have been born with them in this case. Ring your vet to talk about proper flea and worm protocols.

And don't forget - spay the mother once the kittens are weaned, which should be by the time they have their first vaccs.
