  1. Nope, your pay should be straightened out, by the time you leave basic.

Unless you are Guard, and did a split option and went to AIT at a later date.

Then it can take awhile, to catch back up to you.

  2. I was split-option between Basic and AIT.  Between the time I had switched direct deposit bank accounts soon after Basic.  They reverted to the old bank account and it took me weeks to get paid.

  3. idk

  4. Basic training, or AIT?  yes it can take 6-8 weeks before you see your first paycheck.

  5. Unfortunately, yes.  In 2005, I went to AIT in Fort Lee, VA  and my a few of my battle buddies (mainly 92 Alphas and Yankees) were held over for 4 weeks due to the base being over-crowded.  Classes won't be assigned because they're not enough instructors to train.  However, in most cases from what I've heard was that the Army will bump the National Guard and Reservists first before Active Duty soldiers because it will cost their state too much money.  Just hang in there, in a matter of time you will become complacent and have some fun.  Stay outta trouble, I didn't. An Article 15 will make stay there even longer...Now as far as in pay...I have no idea buddy, you may wanna talk to your duty station commander or recruiter.
