  1. doctors will tell u 2 give them a specific amount @ a time, but ur baby will tell u when he/she is done eating and i believe that's best. i tried it the doctors way and all that got me was no sleep

  2. My son probably would have eaten the whole jar from the first sitting, but I only let him have a couple of spoonfuls as I wanted to make sure his tummy would handle it before giving him a lot. He didn't tolerate sweet potatoes when I first introduced it, so I'm going to wait a little bit longer before trying that. But everything else has been good so far except for pea's every time he has it he gets very thick p**p and has a hard time going.

  3. Every child is different.  My daughter would only have a couple of tablespoons of food at each meal.  My friend's daughter would have a jar of baby food and a couple tablespoons of cereal.

Start small so the baby's digestive system can get used to it.

  4. We started with about a tablespoon of rice cereal mixed with enough formula to make it pretty runny. When we moved on to baby food, we gave her about a half an ice cube and added a little rice cereal and formula so that it was familiar to her. Then, we worked our way up to a whole ice cube and no rice cereal. Good luck!

  5. I would start with a table spoon or 2. Depending on how hungry the baby is.
