  1. At least a foot.

But just make sure that if you do go any closer, not to hit the car in front. You could be in a bit of a pickle if you do.

But once you get used to getting the right length, it doesn't really matter where abouts you stop behind the car infront, as long as you're not ontop of it.

    Hope this helps.

  2. You should stop far enough away from the vehicle in front of you so that you are able to see their tyres on tarmac or (TOT) as my driving instructor used to call it. Enough of a distance so that if the vehicle in front of you stalled or broke down, you would be able to get past it safely and securely without having to do multiple maneuvers.

  3. My driving instructor always said to make sure you can see the rear tyres of the car in front of you. This is so that if the car ahead of you breaks down or can't start for some reason, you have enough room to change lanes.

  4. at least 5 feet.

  5. far enough so that if the person behind you hits you you wont hit the person in front of you.

    goodluck

  6. You should be able to see underneath the rear of the car in front.

  7. I stop a couple feet back. this also allows more cars through once the light changes. I also get moving and keep up with the car in front of me........

  8. however you feel comfortable

    5 feet sounds good

  9. You should be able to see the rear wheels of the car in front of you.
