I have been diagnose with latent tb and started taking and inh. I also have to take a monthly blood test to measure liver toxicity. I was wondering if the test could also detect THC increase since I had recently did some weed. Thank you.

  1. Isoniazid, or INH, is known to occasionally cause hepatitis in those taking it.

So doctors often check liver enzymes like ALT and AST periodically when someone is on INH.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liver_enzym...

As such, those tests will not pick up THC.  However, if someone runs a drug screen on the same blood, he/she will be able to detect THC.

So it depends on who is ordering the tests -- most doctors doing primary care won't bother ordering a drug test, but if you are receiving INH from, say, a correctional facility, they may very well do drug tests routinely.

    Good luck.
