  1. Sure you can, but they are under no obligation to give it to you.  Their file, is THEIR file.  Sure, it's about you, but it's not YOURS.  It's proprietary information.

    And if you get snippy with them, you're much less likely to have someone "do you a favor" and give it to you - because that's exactly what it is, a favor.

    And, if it's not YOUR agent, or YOUR company, there's no way they are going to give it to you.


  2. Was it your recorded statement to your (or the other party's) adjuster?  If so, you probably won't get it, it is part of the work product & the only way they release it is with a subpoena to go to court.

    If it was just your insurance agent (the person you bought the policy from), it is quite possible they didn't record your conversation.  I have never worked for an agency that records ANY conversations.
