  4. yes you can use woods( i'm guessing you mean 3,5 or 7 woods) off the tee-box, in fact it's pretty common.  Beginning golfers can hit better tee shots with their woods because of the length of the club and also the loft of the club. If you can hit it straight off the tee box then it is a positive.
