for not having your headlights on for 1.5 miles,

(A) How much approx. is the fine?

(B) If I do decide to show up to court, what can I expect and not expect? (getting the ticket revoked, off my record, etc.)

(C) When the officer marks a certain court local. and time for me to be present, if I request another date, is he required to uphold my request? e.g. i say "sept. 10th please instead of the sept. 12th you put down."

(D) Finally, what if I choose *not* to sign his ticket that says I promise to show up? What can he do?

  1. A-fine should be 100-200

B-expect to pay the fine or go to traffic school

C-The traffic judge /court scheduler can reset the court date, not the police officer. He will be issued a subpoena with the correct date and get paid overtime to go if not during scheduled shift.

D-He is required to arrest you on spot and tow your vehicle.
