If so, what will it sound like?

  1. sound needs a medium to travel through, it is just compression and decompression waves in matter. the inside of the LHC is a vacuum, meaning there is no medium for sound to travel through. the only medium would be the actual beam of protons, and im not even sure if that beam will be dense enough to allow sound to propagate through it. even if it were, putting your ear infront of a beam of traveling at .9999c with an energy of 7 TeV is a horrible idea.
