When the Red Scarlet comes out, where could I buy it?

Good question. The answer? No one is sure.

in the past, RED has sold its cameras directly. No middleman.

Scarlet, however, is different. In attempt to make it a mainstream camera, you will be able to buy it from some special dealers. I expect B&H to be one, but I highly doubt you'll see it at WallMart or even Best Buy. I believe I read that on http://scarletuser.com/

Of course, you can buy it directly from RED too.

It may be more expensive from a third party vendor, but still may be a good option. For example, a California resident who bought it directly from RED would have to pay taxes (RED is based in CA), while they wouldn't be required to pay taxes with B&H, which is New York based. Vice Versa for New York residents.

Currently, Red doesn't have a physical store where you can pick it up. It's all online. I expect them to get a store in the future once they expand though.
