  1. If you are an american, then you are an idiot.  If not, understand that the constitution does not allow for a theoracy.

  2. Yes. that will happen in the millennium, anyone is free to worship anything they want as long as every tongue confess and every knee will bow that Jesus is the Christ.  The world will be a theocracy ruled by a council of 50.

  3. That would never happen. True Christians have no ambition for such things. If you think Christians should run the United States, first off you are crazy, next thing you are deffinitely not a Christian. The wolves in sheep clothing are the "Lip Service" Christians you have to watch out for, like Jesus. The Romans didn't put up with his attitude either.

  4. I think the non- christian's rights will be trampled. And we will find pockets of Christians who are on our side and understanding to our views even though we don't agree.

  5. Will they call it the Republic of Gilead? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Handmai...

    Thanks to that story, I now find Scrabble and butter s**y.

  6. This is entirely rhetorical as history proves what they deny.

    Crusades...Inquisition...Witch trials...

    Hold on to your butts, non-Christians. Their actions speak louder than their denials.

  7. oh my gosh.. I am actually in a state of shock over how out of touch with current events you are

  8. It will never happen, so don't worry!!  We are safe from them, at least for now!!1

    and apostle?,

    christians are not the only religious people that live in this country, if they can have Christmas, and Easter, then considerations can be made for other religious peoples as well!

    We don't need The Ten Commandments  displayed anywhere other than your churches.Right along with the rest of your religious baloney!!

    And if and when they do start displaying that c**p, they should display other religious stuff right along side of it!

    Muslim prayer rugs

    Jewish Menorahs

    Hindu  Shrines for Puja

    Buddhist statues

    ETC.

  9. I am a Christian and I take offense to this question because

    1. I do not ever wish for the United States to become a theocracy;

    2. I completely agree with and support upholding the separation of church and state;

    3. Last time I checked, it was Islam which was the fastest-growing religion gaining converts or Mormons, both which I think are far scarier and more intrusive to individual rights than the typical moderate Christian;

    4. You are assuming the majority of Christian in the U.S. are extremist evangelical fundamentalists, which is not true. Just because their mouths are big enough to drown out everyone else doesn't mean us moderate Bible interpreters don't exist!

  10. Won't happen.  There are to many christian denominations and to much religious diversity.

    If Catholicism became the standard, protestants would revolt, if protestants became the standard Catholics would revolt, if fundamentalists or evangelicals became the standard everyone would revolt, etc.

    The separation of church and state clauses are there for a reason, it protects everyone, even Christians, from being persecuted by the government and if it were ever repealed it would quickly be reinstated by the people who didn't remember the lessons from their history books but learned them rapidly when they found out that just because the belief is accepted by some Christians doesn't mean its your belief.

    The religion numbers are telling, check out the wikipedia article in my sources.

  11. I think there will soon be too many Baha'is for the United States to become a Christian theocracy. But even if it does and the Christian do not, when the Baha'i Faith becomes the world's largest that will in and of itself guarantee freedom of religion. That is already in practice in Baha'i homes. You are not allowed to join it until you are fifteen, and Baha'i parents are supposed to teach their children about all religions, atheism as well, and then let them make up their own minds. From the Baha'i Scripture

    =================

    God has given man the eye of investigation by which he may see and recognize truth. He has endowed man with ears that he may hear the message of reality and conferred upon him the gift of reason by which he may discover things for himself. This is his endowment and equipment for the investigation of reality. Man is not intended to see through the eyes of another, hear through another's ears nor comprehend with another's brain. Each human creature has individual endowment, power and responsibility in the creative plan of God. Therefore depend upon your own reason and judgment and adhere to the outcome of your own investigation; otherwise you will be utterly submerged in the sea of ignorance and deprived of all the bounties of God. ... We must not be content with simply following a certain course because we find our fathers pursued that course. It is the duty of everyone to investigate reality, and investigation of reality by another will not do for us.

  12. It will never happen, so no need to worry.  There would be a civil war (again) before we became a theocracy of any kind.

  13. Oh so smug!  Look what happened where atheism became the official state policy.  Stalin and Mao, those courageous God-bashers, murdered more than 50 million people between them: all in a span of about 30 years.  I fear atheist rule much more than your theocratic boogey-monster.

  14. It's not a theocracy yet, Christians in America are just bullies.

  15. Everybody else will be trampled, US fundies are dangerous and want the world to end, they are as dangerous as muslim extremists and have no business meddling in your government, especially as commonly accepted science shows there ideas to be totally unfounded in fact or reality.

  16. It wont be called a theocracy but if the ultra conservative gets into power thats what it will be,in effect as far as the rights of non Christians go.

    I think it stems from a frightening ignorance and unwillingness to be open to what is important to people that are different to them.These values will be seen as unchristian but called "un-American". By labeling someone like that you demonize and isolate them.Then you can strip away their rights,one by one under the guise of "protecting American values".

    So yes,I think the rights of non Christians will be trampled and a large percentage of the American public will cheer the government on while they do it

  17. Did they do that during The Dark Ages, The Crusades or The Inquisition?  Nothing has changed.  If history is allowed to repeat itself, it would be back to same ole' thing

  18. The U.S. will never become a theocracy.
