  1. An agent's general responsibility is to be a liaison between you and the insurance company who writes your coverage. The agent is primarily there to sell you the insurance and give you a basic understanding of how insurance works. They are also helpful if you have a dispute with the insurance company during a claim process.

However, agents cannot interpret the policy. That is they are not claim adjusters. So their help is somewhat limited during these disputes as far as coverage goes. However, they are very helpful if you are not getting returned phone calls from your adjuster or if you do not understand the coverage decision.

  2. when you don't call with your questions....and when you do they don't get answered...

  3. When he is only there for your money and not out for your interest.  Having a knowledgeable agent that communicate with the company and get you answers is very valuable,  even though I work for a company, my clients interest is who I represent.  I will help them understand what is going on during claims and help them find top $ if there is a claim settlement.

  4. when he is not worth. i mean lack of knowledge, lazy, shabby looks
