  2. i assume its a multiple choice question and im suppose to pic one answer. if that is the case then the correct ans is stomata closes.

    stomata opens <--- not possible as more water would be loss through transpiration

    stomata closes <-- correct ans as it prevents loss of water by transpiration

    photosynthesis occures <-- water is a raw material for photosynthesis to occure. if the plant does not have enough water, there would not be enough raw materials for photosynthesis to take place.

    the guard cells swell <--- if the guard cell swell, it would causes the stomata to open.
