  1. well, typically i've seen the bridal party introduced by spot lighting them and having them dance (to get a laugh out of people) and usually the bride and groom enter to a drum roll or something of such sorts. good luck!

  2. just smile for some seconds then give whoever is in charge of the music a signal and start the music so you can start dancing.

  3. If you are having a DJ call him/her up and talk to them about it. They most likley have done many weddings and can give you different options. At our wedding we gave the DJ a program, we lined up outside in order (like in the church) and he announced everyone as they walked in. Each couple did a goofy thing as they walked in. Some did a goofy dance, one groomsman rode in on the bridesmaids back. They all lined up behind the head table and then my husband and I were announced in. You could also have the wedding party create a tunnel once they get into the hall and you and your husband could walk through it.

As for the first dance, we had dinner, so that was the first thing we did after dinner and dessert. Good luck! Everything will turn out great!

  4. Sounds like you need a choreographer! I've been to several weddings where the bridal party encircles the bride & groom as they dance their first dance, then after that song everyone starts dancing along with the b & g.

I also saw another wedding where the bride & groom remained on the dance floor for their first dance, as the bridal party walked back to their tables and sat.

It really depends on what you want them to do.

  5. The bridal party go to their seats at their tables.

Then you come in, sit at your place, Whoever is annocuncing then says you guys have to dance.

    Tell me how it goes!

  6. Hey girl.. First of all, take a deep breath, everything will be fine.  Generall the introduction and walk in part of the reception is just to introduce the wedding party, parents and the new couple as husband and wife for the first time.

Your DJ will make sure that everyone is seated and he will start announcing important people from the wedding party.  The grooms parents will be announced first, then the brides.  Then you will start with your wedding party, the maid of honor and best man last. Then finally the DJ will announce you and your husband for he first time in public, and its just another way for everyone to celebrate your union.

Now, some brides opt to do the bridal dance right as they get in the door, but traditionally you just go to your seat for the champagne toast first.

  7. The bridal party enters the reception and usually takes their place at the head table.

Most of the weddings that I've been too, including my own, the bride and groom enter and take a seat at the head table with their bridal party. Then salads are served. While salads are served the best man/maid of honor gives a toast. Then dinner is served. After that you have your first dance...

Some couples choose to have their first dance after they are introduced - but I liked the idea of having everyone eat dinner first. But you can do it however you'd like!

Good luck and congrats! Try not to stress too much over the next few days...it will all turn out wonderful!
