  1. If it's got a scart socket, it will still work with a digibox plugged in.  If it hasn't, you've got a new garden ornament.

  2. Landfill. No comp. Money making scam! So much for saving the planet.

  3. They will go in the rubbish/skip/tip.

No you won't be compensated. And I bet when it comes to the time to switch off analogue, the TV prices will go up. So best to buy one now and not leave until the last minute.

  4. Just get a Freeview box, your old telly will work fine!

  5. No you just buy a freeview box to attach to it.

  6. Just get a digital tv box.

  7. They will need a converter to make them digital.

  8. They will act as a monitor to your staellite or digital box.

  9. There's probably going to be a subsidy program like we have in the 'states. The gov't pays $40 of the cost of a digital-analogue converter, up to 2 converters per home.

  10. Fishtanks.

I never thought about it before but if you had, say, a DVD recorder, I suppose you could connect your digital source into it and plug the analog tv to its output.

  11. u either go digitl or dont watch tv ..

  12. No. You can use a set-top box which will plug into existing TV. The connection can be made through the aerial socket, although you will get a better quality of picture and sound if you have a scart socket on your TV, and connect to the TV with it.

Set-top boxes for digital cable TV, digital satellite TV and digital terrestrial TV are already available, although you will  have to pay for these devices.
