My tooth is loose and i need to remove it, my fear is walking out of the dental office with a gap in front and having to wait a long period of time. How do they insert a temporary tooth and have it stay in place?

How long does it last and what happens next?

  1. i don't think they will the same day, as the gum will be iritable and sor from the tooth being pulled out, also if its a milk tooth then no they will not do it the same day neither will they put one in what so ever because it will effect the groth of your adult tooth !

  2. if it's a baby tooth they can't do anything about it. putting a fake tooth on will block the growth of the adult tooth.

  3. For me I have dental implants, I had my teeth pulled implants placed in the bone and my new teeth attached in one day. I never walked out of the doctor's office without teeth.

You can get what someone called a flipper. It is a false tooth and only one tooth that you can wear. The lower flipper will have plastic that goes along the inside of your gums with clips that attach to teeth to keep in in place. If you get an upper flipper than you will have a roof piece that will cover the roof of your mouth and clips to hold it to teeth. They look very natural.

So it depends on what you can afford.

  4. How old are you? If you're old enough to use Yahoo Answers and you're worried about losing a baby tooth than I'm sure you won't have long until your permanent tooth comes in.  Your front permanent teeth start erupting around the age of 6 or 7.  SO be patient.  Many children are missing their front teeth.  And it can be cute at times.

On the other hand.  If you are an adult or are losing an adult tooth.  You'll need to ask your dentist about getting tooth implants.  It's a fairly common procedure.  And you won't have to walk around with a missing tooth.

    Good luck!

  5. A FLIPPER CAN BE MADE BEFORE YOU HAVE IT PULLED.

THESE ARE ONLY MADE WHEN PERMANENT TEETH ARE INVOLVED
