It will be destroyed in about 5 billion years, when the sun begins to burn out, becomes a red giant, and engulfs the 3 inner planets.  They will then be part of the sun.

However, it may also be possible that some humans cleverly found a way to survive temporarily in space, or found a habitable place outside the solar system on which to live and repopulate.

It's possible...but as to whether it's likely I don't know.

Scientists believe that the earth will die in another couple of billions of years. The human population will probly die by another ice age, because at the moment we are in between ice ages. Also, by the time earth dies it is predicted that nothing will live on earth, and the plate tectonics will not move anymore and that the continents will come together again.

Humans could also die when the sun dies or burns out, or if the comet will come crshing tomwards Earth.



To answer your question, nothing will happen next because the earth will be dead, there will be nothing living on it and there will be no volcanic activity, earthquakes, cyclones etc. Unless, after the Earth is dead, it will start all over again after billion of years, I don't know the future and the scientistist cannot estimate that far.  

Anyway, when the sun dies or burns out or the earth dies, we will be long dead, I'm not sure about the comet because scientists believe that one will come very close to earth in another decade or so yet, there is a 40% chance they are wrong.
