Some of the Cavaliers were executed, some were sold as indentured servants in the West Indies,  some followed Charles II into exile in France, and some immigrated to Virginia, including the ancestors of George Washington, James Madison, James Monroe,  and John Marshall.  Prince Rupert became a buccaneer in the Caribbean.
