  1. Yes, the image on the currency changes. And that's in every Commonwealth country. Plus, the postage also changes. As do official photos in courthouses, school, legions, legislative assemblies, Parliaments, military bases and other public buildings.

Insignias will also change. EIIR will be replaced (on new post boxes, etc.). And lawyers who have earned the designation Queen's Council will become King's Council.

The death of the monarch means massive change and expense. Not to mention sorrow.

  2. Money just doesn't feature royals on their money. The English have also featured English icons such edward elgar and Charles Darwin.

  3. but considering how long that your current Queen has been on the throne, it will take a long time for the 'new' money to replace the 'old' money. and this will apply to all of the countries that use the queen head on their coins.

  4. Newly minted money will have the new monarch's face on it, and the older money will still be used but will be phased out and eventually there will be no more money left with the previous monarch on it....

  5. yes they do. also you can watch them age on money which is kind of cool. i had some coins from 1962 through 2003 and you could see the queen age on the money.

  6. Yes.   The old ones are still valid but new ones are issued with the new monarch on.   This applies for emperors, kings, queens, princes, grand-dukes and popes.

During the sometimes extended periods when there is no  pope, coins minted in the Vatican have no pope on.

When there is a new British monarch, the pictues on the coin look to the opposite side as their predecessor.

  7. for each monarch since Saxon times have had there head on the coins[roman emperors did the same]when stamps came along the practise continued, when each monarch dies the mint issues new money with the new monarch on.
