  1. Matching is the best of those answers, but it still TOTALLY misses the point.  Work in the classroom has 2 aims:

    1)  A direct aim

    2)  An indirect aim.

The matching in this activity is an indirect aim.  The child is matching the beads to the sequence given (it sounds like).  This is it's least important part.  The MOST important part involves how it helps the child's developmental powers.

A better answer would be that this activity would:

    --Build Concentration

    --Prepare a child for math

--Prepare a child for left to right sequencing required in reading.

--Develop fine motor skills needed for writing.

  2. I would say matching.....

  3. 2. Matching because when they get a bead set, the taking to the energy and concept of creating their own pattern matches colors, shapes, and imprints it in their brain.

  4. 2) Matching-children can match patterns, recognise sequences (and have to find the next bead by mathcing colour, shape, size etc) etc.

    3) Object permanence-when the toy is put away it still exists and can get out another time.

  5. 2. matching

  6. like anal beads?
