We've noticed so many different signs

1. 830-945am / 130-400pm

2. when kids present

3. when yellow light blinking

problem is:

1. light blinks at odd times

2. during the day lights off when kids present

3. lights dont blink on early release days

4. lights dont blink all the time on late start days

5. lights off sometimes all day

Law says unlawful to do over 20 when school zone is marked with standard speed limit signs.

  1. Obey the signs no matter what the day.

Any time children are present,  err on the side of caution and go slow.     You can never predict what will happen,  and being able to stop easily is far better than having to make excuses no one wants to hear.

  2. whatever the posted speed limit is...there is a street 2 blocks over from me that has a speed limit of 30 but during school hours the speed limit is 20

  3. If there are no kids present (which is supposedly if you see a kid  walking within a mile or something ridiculous like that) then the speed limit is the posted speed.  IE- If it is a side street, it most likely is 25, or if its on a busier street 35 (or even 45).

  4. The rule of thumb that I always tell everyone is drive 20mph when you are around any school, just because you will never know if and when a child will come out of no were.
