because it's being beaten into our heads that this is international ... there's nothing we can do .. it's because of gas prices (which are in the control of evil foreigners) and the real estate sector (in the hands of evil corporations)... so we sit and wait... and also the upcoming presidential elections are keeping people both busy and hopeful
