When the time is right, do you take the chance? ?

Yes, I would take the chance because you may be passing up a great opportunity. I would rather take the chance than not. You will never find out if, by taking the chance, how " things " may turn out. Sure, there is also the chance of being " burnt " but, to me, I try to be positive and optimistic.

A positive approach or outlook can make the difference.

Hmmm...it's so hard to know when the time is right though. So it's best to just take the chance when it presents itself...it may never come again. Yup. I need to take more chances...

I am too afraid, I fear what could happen.  I guess I live a boring life because I never take chances.
