  1. The Tudors didn't lose power.  The line simply died out.  Elizabeth Tudor named her cousin James Stuart as her successor as he was the closest blood relative and therefore rightful heir.

  2. Elizabeth I, the last of the Tudor monarchs, died childless.  Her nearest surviving heir was James VI of Scotland, a Stuart king, who inherited the right to sit on the English throne as James I of England, thus combining the rule of England and Scotland under the sovereignty of a single king.

---Henry VIII's sister, Margaret, of the House of Tudor, married James IV of Scotland, of the House of Stewart.  His son, James V, was the father of Mary Queen of Scots.

---Mary, then, was Elizabeth Tudor's cousin, whom Elizabeth executed supposedly to foil a plot to put the Roman Catholic Mary on the English throne, leaving James I, Mary's son, as Elizabeth's heir apparent.

Perhaps you need some tutoring in history?

  3. the tudours and stuarts did not have a war to end one dynasty to the other it was a death and passage or rule...................now go and look it up and see who died ...........and why this made for a new family name to rule ............................

  4. First it is Tudor not Tutor.

Second, you need to go away and read some history. If you don't understand these basic questions you need to read about this period, not just copy the answer form someone else.

  5. The Tudor's didn't technically 'lose power' to the Stuarts, Elizabeth left her kingdom (queendom??) to James of Scotland, wo became James I of England. It was not by winning a battle or anything of the sort, so it was totally bloodless.
