I know there are rogue waves that are supposedly huge or happen every hundred years., so I'd assume a rogue storm might mean it's strong or severe?

It's similar to the meaning of a rogue wave which is an extremely  large wave. So  a rogue thunderstorm means a very violent thunderstorm.

A rogue thunderstorm is the same thing as an isolated thunderstorm. They are thunderstorms that form separately from other thunderstorms.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that it means wondering or in other words, a stray thunderstorm. They usually refer to it as an isolated thunderstorm.
