I was wondering how far does the wind blow? When it gusts, does it keep on going? Does it just fade away? Where does it go? Sometimes it blows so hard, it has to travel somewhere... Have you ever felt the wind die at your feet? I have seen the edge of a rain storm... Silly question?

  1. The monsoon winds which blow over India travel thousands of kilometers from their place of origin.During the south-west monsoon period(June to September) over India, the wind originates from roughly 30 degree south latitude ,crosses the equator ,changes direction and blows over India from the south-west direction and it reaches almost 30 degrees north latitude,a distance of more than 60000 kms.Sometimes the cloud cover along the entire path of the wind can be seen in the satellite picture.
