When they put the metal bands on your teeth for braces do they hurt as bad as the spacers?

I've had the plastic spacers in for a week and they still hurt.

wen they put on the bands, they have to test diff sizes so hurts a bit wen they oush down on ur gums. but none of the braces hurt until a couple hours after having them put on. then they hurt like c**p for a day. then u get used to them so take some pain reliever b4 getting to the orthodontists

I wore braces twice. The spacers are uncomfortable at first , because this is the 1st time your teeth have ever been moved. It will be less painful as time goes on. Pretty soon you'll forget they are there. When they remove them they just pop right out and you won't feel a thing. It doesn't hurt when they put the the metal bands on because your teeth are already separated.

Just remember it's all worth it and you will have beautiful teeth.

The spacers are used to make a space between the molars to provide a place where to put the bands

The spacer are working now to move the teeth slightly away from each other and that's why you feel that pain

But after that you wouldn't feel any pain after your dentist replace them with the bans don't worry
