When it comes to birth control pills...do the literally mean for example 10:30am every single day on the dot? Or is there a margin of error allowed?

  1. As long as you take it within an hour or two of the same time everyday, you are likely ok.  I take mine right before I go to bed.  Some nights I may take it at 9:00pm, other nights closer to 11:00pm.  So long as you don't take it at 11:00pm one day and 8:00am the next, you should be ok.

  2. its fine as long you dont exceed like 2-3 hours. they say to take it around the same time because if you dont your hormones get all oughta whack and what not. and plus is lowers the effectivness if you miss a pill and what not but the effectiveness lowers only if you miss a pill. not if your a few hours late taking it

  3. My doctor told me it didn't matter much.  He said it was more of a concern that on monday you take it at 6am and then tuesday you take it at 11:30pm, then the hormones aren't doing their proper job because they aren't constantly in your system.  But he said if you take it around the same time frame its easier on your body and easier to remember to actually take it!

  4. It depends on what kind of birth control your on.  I was on Camila (Norethindrone tablets) and I had to take it exactly at the same time every day or I would get pregnant.  If you are not sure you should call your OBGYN.  It's better to be safe than sorry.

  5. you have 3 hours before and after.. if you dont take it within this time frame you have a better chance at getting pregnant

  6. As long as it around the time i was on them many years if you have been on them a while you don't have to worry i always tried to take them on time but there are times when you forget
