  1. Never.  People smuggle that down their pants sometimes.  Can you imagine how uncomfortable that would be to have a tentacle grabbing down there?......although it DOES have suction cups, might not be THAT bad.

  2. Its dead!

  3. It's dead and boiled before it's thrown onto the ice.  That way it's still a little gooey, but it's easier for Al Sobotka to scrape off the ice.

  4. Mona's Crying- The same way you carry in a dead one.

  5. lol of course not.  They buy the octopi in stores, the same way you buy fish.  They're already dead, and the people bring the octopus to the Joe and toss it onto the ice.

  6. Good question.

I don't think it's alive, but nowadays people carry stuff to throw in rink, mostly hats.  They've never banned throwing hats.

I was shocked when they banned Octopi throwing in the Joe Louis Arena.

Maybe they'll throw chicken wings next time.

  7. I doubt PETA would allow that.

  8. That would be SO COOL!

  9. LOL--- If it were alive, you would have  PETA giving them more s hit than an elephant on Ex-lax...

  10. no its dead

  11. no you twit, its a tradition that peta hasnt gotten in the way of for a reason

  12. NO. They are bought at butcher shops. How could you carry a live octopus into an arena?
