My sister just got contacts, and she needs to know when she should clean her contacts: when she takes them out or before she puts them in? Does it matter? Any other helpful advice? Thanks!

  1. Straight after removal is best:

The physical action removes more bacteria making the overnight disinfect more effective, and if there is a stronger cleaning solution, better to use it when the lens is heading for the storage case, not for the eye, as slightly inadequate rinsing matters a lot less, then!

And it's obvious, but:  to clean contact lenses, or put them in, start with clean hands.

  2. After she remove then store it then wear it the next day

  3. always clean them when you take them out!!! if you really want to, you can also clean them before you put them in.... tell her congrats for getting contacts!
