Question:

When to buy Wachovia stock?

I know that I want to buy WB because I am making the assumption that the company will recover and stock prices will rise. Here's my issue. I am basically new to trading stocks, and I know that the stock is at a really low point right now. Wachovia has already stated that is going to have large losses for the 2nd quarter.

I know that when they announced the losses, the stock took a hit. Will it take another hit when the actual numbers come out? If the losses are what they had already estimated, will there be no impact on the stock. If the losses are not as bad, will the stock price go up?

I'm trying to buy WB at as low a price as I can, and I don't want to buy it this week just to have it drop even more next week when they release figures about the 2nd quarter.

  1. They are projecting losses this year and next year, so I'd steer clear for the time being.
