When to flush the old sperm out of his system?

Ok, this is a weird question lol. My husband is supposed to ejaculate about 3 days before we TTC for this coming up month. If we aren't supposed to start to TTC until the ovulation kit tells us there is a surge present....then when should the last ejacuation be before TTC? Ovulation predicted to be August 10th. But this last month, may have ovulated later than we thought because I assumed that the OPK was deffective. I am new at this, but learning. Thanks

Unless your husband has low sperm counts I would say maybe 2 days before your expected ovulation surge.  My dr has told us that we should have s*x every other day to every 2 days and that should be enough time for the sperm to get back up to the bigger numbers.  Also, no hot tubs or long drives for at least a week before the big day(s).  Sperm hates heat.  So if possible maybe he should hang around the house as much as possible in his boxers with a fan...

if there are any sperm issues then intercourse should be avoided for a few days before ovulation not to lower your chances, if there are no sperm issues babydancing every other day will have you covered...
