At what age should a baby have tofu? I am trying the all natural route with my 6 month old and would like to offer tofu instead of meat and was wondering if now would be a good time. She has had no allergic reactions to any foods so far.

  1. whenever you would normally introduce solid foods is my guess. best to see a pediatrician.

thank you for raising your daughter without meat! don't listen to crass anyone gives you, she's going to be healthy and just fine.

EDIT: How can you have a 6 month old when 2 days ago you asked whether or not it was wrong for you to want to be a single parent? did you manage to pop out a 6 month old yesterday or what?

  2. 6 months is a good time to start. But make sure it is soft or medium firm tofu for the next couple of months

  3. ask a pediatrician

  4. Well have you ever seen a lion eat a plant or a cow eat a meat?Humans are supposed to be balanced without a balanced diet you will wither away childern are growing dont abuse by stunting his/her growth

    on your belives

  5. I have a 3 month old at home right now.  We are going to wait for him to show he is interested in eating foods other thatn breast milk. Right about that time, he will have tofu introduced mixed with pretty much anything else.   I don't think there is an answer for everyone.  Whenever the child is ready for food, give her some.

  6. You should be able to feed her tofu as soon as you introduce semi-solid foods. The only concern you should have is choking. Just cut it into thin, small slices and that will reduce the risk of choking I'm sure.  Other than that there should not be any problems :)
