When to harvest red currants: morning or afternoon?

My red currants: Ribes rubrum, are ripe ... but when is the best time to harvest them for the most concentrated vitamin content and flavor ... early in the morning or later in the day, up towards sunset?

  1. Harvest them just before sunset - if that is  the coolest part of the day.

    Lucky you  to have red currants - Delicious!!
