Pools usually open in my area around Middle May. After it gets warm for a couple weeks. You want it to be nice and warm

end of April to middle May would be good because its heating up usually and swim seasons for recreational teams begin. it also tells people that summer is coming! woohoo!

i work for my aunts swimming pool store and we start opening them the first part of this month so its really up to you and the climate you live in and if you have a pool heater to keep it warm and we close pools sometime in nov and dec for people so its kinda up to you. hope that helps!

Any time after ice out and you're prepared for the weekly maintenance and the added expense of operating. Quite a few people in my area ( just north of Toronto) have had their pools open for 2 weeks or so, now. Some wait up until the second week in May. It's up to you.

I guess it depends on where you live. I live in Central Pennsylvania and we usually don't open our pool until around Memorial Day. But if it consistantly is getting into the 70s before that point where you live, then open it before then.

We live in Southeastern Pennsylvania and we open our pool mid-May and close it late September.  We actually started the process this weekend by taking the leaves off the cover that fell into the pool during the autumn.
