When to start looking?

I want to rent an apartment for after college...I graduate this coming May, and would want to move in at the end of the summer (2009). When should I start looking for an apartment?

  1. You should look for the area you want to live in early enough and have a couple of complexes in mind, because the complex you want might be full at the time you move.  And like the other poster mentioned the complex will not hold apt..  for too long.  

      Also try going with an apartment locator, or a Realtor that gives cash back rebates.  Most complexes pay a locator/realtor the first months rent for bringing a tennant to your complex.  Most locators or realtors will in turn give some of their commission back to the client (you)

  2. a month or two before you are ready to move. If you find something now, no landlord is going to hold it for you for 8,or 9  months...
