At what age do you stop burping a baby?

Mine is 7 months old now and I still try to burp her, but usually don't get results anymore. She ends up burping on her own a few minutes later.

When is it ok to stop?

  1. From what I remember my mother telling me when I used to burp my little brother, is that you only have to do it until they start crawling around and start getting active. Then the gas will just come out by itself. But as long as they're just lying down all of the time you have to burp them. Otherwise a big stomachache is on the way for the baby!

  2. probably now if you are not getting a result from it and she burps on her own!

  4. Anytime, generally once they are sitting up on their own, they burp themselves.
