When to take a Pregnancy Tests?

Can i take a pregnancy test five days before my period starts and get a positive result if i am pregnant

it was almost 7 days b4 my period was due and it was positive, i took it at lunch time ( not 1st morning pee )

think its just going to depend how much hormone is present at the time u take it  i used 1st response

i took 8 tests  all positive (2 dif brands ) coz i was sure it couldnt be right

Read the Box if it says that you can do 3-4 days before then you can use it but remember your best bet is to take the test two days after your period is due because you run the risk of getting a negative result. on the side of the box it will tell you the percentages of positives like 4 days before 60-70% chance. But don't use a generic one because its not the same as using clear blue or one of the better brands.

Probably not. Your body needs at least 14 days after conception to start producing hcg, the pregnancy hormone, and even then it will show up in a blood test but may not be high enough to show up on a pee stick.

yes it definitley can, with my second i did a test around 9 days b4 i expected my period although with this one i did a test 5 days b4 and it was negative, not getting a positive result til the day b4. there are test u can buy that are specifically made to tell you early on as well but even they came up negative for me this time lol if you have enough of the pregnancy levels u can get a positive result this early but dont be disheartened if its negative, just keep trying. with this baby i knew i was pregnant and prob did about 10 test b4 finally getting my positive one
